Have you implemented marketing strategies for your business without getting successful results? If your answer is yes, it is probably because you did not have a plan for how to tackle your marketing. Following a strategy is good, but that does not by default mean that what worked for some will work for you. We give you 3 tips on how you should plan your marketing.
Define your goal
What is the goal with your marketing? What do you want to achieve? Are you looking to get more traffic to your service? Or is the goal, for example, to increase the number of sales? You need to define your goal to know what it is you want to achieve and how to achieve it. It may happen that you are using a strategy that does not work well for your particular purpose.
Understand your customer
After defining your goal, you really need to understand your customer. Why should they choose you and not your competitor? What obstacles and problems do your customers have? When you understand your customers, you can use it to your advantage. To understand your customer, you literally need to talk to them and not just use analytics tools to measure their behavior.
Take a look at what your competitors are doing and try to identify what works and doesn't work. Analyze already well-established companies. Among other things, you can identify which channels they use for their marketing. Are they SEO driven? Do they use social media? How often do they publish new content? What kind of content is that? What business model do they have for making money? What generally works for your competitor will also work for you.
